I'm glad we're back on track .. Remember I don't think I ever put down anyones EFI. In fact I think I complimented everyone.

I do not deny that EFI is the future.

Did kinda get a chuckle about "the guy in Ohio" tho ! drinking smiley

These are some quotes from Ingelese -- one of the worlds best known weber experts. He's written books and a web search will overwhelm you. check out his manifolds on ebay sometime.

I'm just posting these tidbits for the guys in the middle that don't know what to think about all of this EFI Vs Weber discussion.

again-- not my words and I realize showing a written paragraph does not prove anything. .B

One more -- Again, I know it doesn't prove anything.

Just wanted to add it to the pot.

Thought some of you might get a kick out of this.

It's from an E-mail I sent back in 2003 regarding my EFI .

Quote - " I tried everything except Voodoo " .

Maybe that was my problem -- no Voodoo ! cool smiley

Also a pic of what gave me so much trouble -The Hall sensor- it looks so simple. confused smiley

hey kevin. this doesnt matter now cus everything is long gone but from looking at your picture it seems like you had to twist the sensor sideways. the other sensor installs i have seen the sensor is straight & flush on the bracket.

i think you got it right when you said you thought the wheeler guys didnt put the magnets in the right way. that would really screw things up. that w/everything else no wonder you had so much trouble w/all that stuff.

Agreed - I even sleep better now-a-days ! smoking smiley

Scott - I tried every position possible and also tried shimming it.

The pic shows the bracket that I made from a carb adapter plate.

I also bought and tried one of Rays billet mounts. I still have it and it is for sale !

All of this was AFTER I got a new balancer and had magnets installed by SDS.

I never even installed the first balancer - I knew it wouldn't work just by reading the manual one time.

Yeah - that's been my point all along ! smileys with beer

I never put down EFI - I Just said it's not for everyone . smileys with beer

In the vid below where it looks like a still shot of the dash - you may notice it is idling smoothly at 500. This vid does have some new tach and running footage.

The drags were the same old Indy ones with some pics from other places too. The still shot was at the Kentucky drags.

I need more footage

The actual sacramento video is material that I just digitized from old 8mm tape. It was the trip when the Sprint got in a head on wreck.

Just wanted to share it and I'm learning a bunch of computer stuff in the process.

I was hoping it would be taken in jest. Kinda like a parody. I really was Gung Ho about the EFI at first.

Jonathon-- send me some footage of your car in action and I'll make a movie for you.

Caution- my editing is getting better ! smileys with beer

The last video I have of actual action shots would be Chicago in 2000 (I wasn't there, footage is of dads car) Before that it was Virgina in 1993? (I think)

I recently got a digital video camera (these things are cheap now!) so I hope to make more video's in the summer. Thinking of an in car video of the V8 using a Gtec.. Gotta wait for it to be nice out thou sad smiley
