anyone know if/where vin number would be stamped on frame of a 65 corsa?
is there any listing of Fitch prepared vin cars?

Per previous questions about the hidden VIN location.

65-69 - The "hidden" vin number on a '66-69 is behind the front suspension cross member stamped into the side of the right frame rail. Usually you can see a portion of it if you take off the right front wheel and look at the side of the frame rail.

On the 60-64 vairs the verdict is still out as there were posts about it being on the left front frame rail and other posts about it being on the right but completely under the crossmember requiring removal of the cross member to even see it.

I have never looks at the Hidden VIN myself on any year vair.

And No, there are absolutly no records of any specific Fitch Sprint conversion by VIN (or otherwise) other than the original paperwork (ie reciepts) that you may or may not be fortunate enough to buy with a Sprint converted car.

..the last 4 or 6 (?) numbers are stamped into the unibody 'frame' on the right-front...someplace near the suspension subframe but not covered by anything except undercoating/paint..if I can find it on the 65-500 today,I'll post a pic...

took pix of one frame rail i cut out,and the 500..can't read the vin,due to rust,but here's where to look...#'s are about the same size as the tag in engine comp...

Be careful though... if the number isn't there the car apparently ceases to exist and could be replaced by a gas cap.

Isn't a VIN number like an ATM machine, PIN number, UPC code, SAT test, and an LCD display?

Here is a picture of the location on a late model. As you can see it is on the right side frame where the front crossmember mounts.

This is my 1st Corvair, I'm learning as I go. What do the numbers mean on the Chevrolet DD stamp. I know it is a Delivery Date but what are the meaning of the 12 numbers under it?
