Assuming the original post has been answered... .

I am always amazed at the number of factory distributor variations for the Corvair. It seems rather unique. I count 34 in the chart above. And often replies to posts will ask, "Do you have the correct (factory) distributor?"

I can't ever remember anyone delineating the distributors for V-8, Chevy (non-Corvair), Chrysler, Ford into scores of variations. On most every (other) car forum when factory distributor curves come up the replies inevitably seem to state they are "junk" and to put in softer springs for a faster curve. I'm not saying there weren't some factory variations, it's just that it never comes up as a best option. Replies always seems to revert to getting a Mr. Gasket etc. spring kit as the wise choice over anything "factory" in the V-8 realm.

GM must have spent a LOT of time getting so many distinct curves for the Corvair engine.
