() Date: May 25, 2023 11:40AM I am thinking of adding a front spoiler to my 65. But dont know if I should go with the original 66 style or the camaro style. Does anyone have pictures of these so I can compare? Thanks Hilmar CA 65 corsa convertible turbo, tripple black past cars 65 monza convertible 110 powerglide 63 turbo hardtop Re: looking for spoiler pictures Posted by:

() Date: May 25, 2023 11:51AM I don’t have a photo, but the Camaro spoiler, IMO, looks a lot better and probably works better. Rocco 65 EFI Turbo Corsa YS113 Barboursville, Va Re: looking for spoiler pictures Posted by:

() Date: May 25, 2023 12:07PM First thing you need to know...it is called an air dam not a spoiler. It diverts the air from going under the car...it does not create spoil I don't care what GM called it...spoilers are installed on the rear deck. I get my info from the SCTA-BNI rule book, the last word in auto aero. Re: looking for spoiler pictures Posted by:

() Date: May 25, 2023 12:15PM The stock unit meanss no trimming or fitting. Factory S-10 air dam is also a decent choice. [www.amazon.com] Attachments: ![]() Re: looking for spoiler pictures Posted by:

() Date: May 25, 2023 01:31PM I installed the Camaro air dam and did not use the metal support brackets. If it fails, I'll replace it. They're around $30 last time I checked. () Date: May 25, 2023 01:42PM I should have known the spoiler term may have gotten people fired up. I always called it an air dam too, but when I looked at Clarks, the part was listed as spoiler, so I thought that might be the preferred term these days. I'm just glad everyone knew what I wanted and got some good pics. Looking at the pics, I think the stock 66 looks right for the car, but the Camaro one looks good to, so if its a significant price difference I may go with it. Thanks guys. () Date: May 25, 2023 03:00PM The General calls it a "valance panel". Since they created it I'll go with that terminology. Personally I think it looks best especially compared to that horny Camaro thing. However, the Camaro panel is cheap and we all know how much we like that! ![]() Re: looking for spoiler pictures Posted by:

() Date: May 25, 2023 03:56PM Installing a Factory Air-dam on a car that does not have one will improve freeway handling. The deeper they reach, the better they will work. So, the S=10 one that is shown will probably be the most effective of all that are presented here. The Camaro one does look nice, and I've never thought it looked like Priapus. I didn't have any spare cash around, but I did have access to some sheet-metal, and a Bending Brake, so I made my own deep Air-Dam. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- WA. state, 1 mile south of the Canadian border, I am not at the end of the world, but you can see it from here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: looking for spoiler pictures Posted by:

() Date: May 25, 2023 04:31PM maybe I will take a trip to the local pick and pull with a tape measure and see what I can come up with. () Date: May 25, 2023 08:03PM I used an S-10 on my Arizona car in order to provide a separation between the cooler incoming air to the front mounted air conditioner condenser core and the exiting warmer air. The stock valance panel only extends to the bottom of the car, whereas the S-10 goes lower. It's also easy to modify for perfect fit, needing only a little shortening on the ends and some careful trimming on the top corners to match the body contour. I also took a heat gun and put a nice little "V" in the center to sweeten it to perfection. I will post pictures tomorrow morning when I can use my computer. This is on my phone as I am at work.
