I think that they were the tower style clamps, like were sometimes used on the heater hoses.

Yes. Those are - were Tower Clamps. There are repro's out there. However I have not found the correct size sold individually. For my oil bath, it took years to find some OEM ones that were in excellent condition.
You may look up Vintage Tower hose clamps, on line.

Were they the same clamps that were used on the gas tank filler neck hoses?
Not sure about size though.

Pretty sure the clamps shown in momach's F/S post are original...same as what Tim and Rex said.

They were also used on radiator hoses, so there might be an interchange from one of them.
