Strange starter wiring guide
Posted by: joelsplace ()

This was in the bed of the '63 Rampside I recently picked up. Parts in the bed are from a lot of different models of Corvairs and other things.
This plug is the same as a Corvair but the positive cable is too short.

Looks like there was some "engineering" involved with that one Joel. Perhaps it met at some type
of a junction point. Why? Who knows.

That looks like it is for a starter switch that mounts under the gas pedal like on 30's-50's GM vehicles.

Maybe someone decided to use a Ford solenoid with a Corvair with its starter. That is if that solenoid is a Corvair starter solenoid. We all know Ford solenoids were a thing to be used by some owners on their Corvairs.

Maybe purple and yellow were just a usual thing on Chevrolets in general.

Looks like one off my 66 Olds Toronado. Has a junction point on the RH Inner Fender
