I have one I have rebuilt with a new kit. Solenoid was checked with an ohmmeter. So this one should work. I put Vaseline on the bellows to keep it flexible and to make it move more freely. Pm me if you are interested.

I am using an electric pump and reservoir from mid 80s Chevy trucks in my Vairs.

Here is the link showing the install. Twice fluid capacity with an electric motor from the mid 80s Chevy truck. About $90 to convert, so I don't many would go for it. But it is reliable and gives a good spray with existing nozzles.

If enough want a separate subject, moderators need to ask me o write it up to add to the FAQs.

I have a rebuild kit I bought from Clark's. Then someone posted that RockAuto was running a clearance on Corvair parts, and I bought a whole pump for either $12 or $16. Made in USA ACI Window & Door Components 172332. Haven't installed it yet. Came with instructions for 63-68 and 69 and later models.

Well Glen, you got the last cheap one!grinning smiley

The pump is common to most of the Chevrolet lineup in the mid 60s.

That ACI number is good, and available from multiple sources.

I found a new pump for $50

Windshield Washer Pump Assy

It's for a '64-'72 Chevy truck and it's slightly different than ours but I trimmed the plastic housing and used one longer screw to mount it. The bottom mounting screw used the original. Oh, and I unscrewed the tri-nozzle and repositioned it so it faces out. Fits and functions perfectly with the minor modification.

Yep. That is same as most late 60s Chevy cars. My Camaro has it. If you had asked for updated pumps, you probably would have several member
Ers poet about it. Even a search would have found it in past discussions.

Avenue when I bought from Clark's years ago. As I recall it was in the $50 range. I've even installed it already, but I don't get a power it still doesn't work. I'm thinking I probably have a wire wrong somewhere but it's never been the biggest issue for me.

That's me contributing to the conversation without actually contributing to it.

Eric:

I posted the wiring schematic for the system a few years ago. Look for wiper under my name about 4 years ago.
