Engine assembly manuals

Getting ready to pull the trigger on ordering the parts to put my engine back together. I’ve got the motor completely torn down. Block is split. Replacing bearings, cam, pistons, cylinders, etc. What manuals, or books, should I pick up to get all the procedures and torque specs. I already have the chassis manual and the how to hot rod your Corvair book. Looking for specs and sequencing mainly.

What year are you working on? If 1965, you will need the 1965 service manual. If 1966, you will need the 1965 service manual in addition to the 1966 supplement.
I have every year manual only because it can be interesting reading even though I don't have every year of Corvair.

I was looking at the “FAQ” pages and some of the links are going to ad sites. Just wanted to let someone to know. Mattnall pages with many manuals is what is was looking at

Bill Fisher's "How to Hotrod Corvair Engines" should be in every Corvair owners library as well. It isn't a step by step manual but is filled with excellent food for thought, well explained. It does give a better understanding of how everything works together.
