Why should someone use the go fund me website when using a Credit Card?
GFM will just charge their percentage, and CORSA already has the ability to process credit cards.
Makes ZERO sense to me.

I agree using "Go Fund Me" is a mistake, they take some of every donation, Corsa should have just set up a direct payment system directly to them in care of the CCF and cut out the middle man of Go Fund Me taking some of the money. Trust me, Go Fund Me does not give a carp about the CCF and should not be making $$ off donations to this page!
-------------------------------
There’s no fee to start or manage your fundraiser. However, to help us operate safely and securely, our payment processors deduct one small transaction fee per donation (2.9% + $0.30, which include debit and credit charges). This is deducted automatically from donations; the person receiving funds will receive all funds raised minus these transaction fees.

Well, I asked CORSA to do exactly that - they declined. GFM was the next best option. If you have a better solution I'm more then happy to let you take the reins on this.

I;m sorry.
I did not mean to create turmoil.
I was simply pointing out that donating directly to CORSA, avoided the fee.

CORSA pays a fee to accept credit cards. GoFundMe.com is charging 2.9% + $0.30, which includes debit and credit charges. They are making a profit on the fees and it is not that large of a profit. Based on the volume that they process, they are most likely paying the process fees of about 1/2% and .02 per item. They make their money doing volumes of processing fees every day. I'll take a guess that CORSA is paying more in fees for processing than GoFundMe is charging. What most people don't realize is that processing fees for "cards not presented in person" fees are much higher than an over-the-counter processing fee because of the associated possible fraud that can happen. Even though you as a cardholder aren't responsible for fraud on your card, the merchant is. This is why GoFundMe has a delay period before they will transfer the funds. If they have a "chargeback" for a fraudulent card that they process, they can recover the chargeback.

I almost forgot to give the comparison to other online companies where you can collect donations through. PayPal as an example charges PayPal fees of 3.49% + $0.49 per transaction

The cost associated with Credit Card processing can be tough on small businesses. The Credit card companies rely on a large volume of traffic to make their money. Small businesses don't really support that volume, so the companies charge either monthly fees, per transaction fees, or percentages - or some combination of the three. The fixed cost and percentage cost is the reason "Silicone Wire Systems" doesn't take credit cards. I see no reason to raise my prices to cover that cost, penalizing those who pay with checks, etc. I suppose I may have lost a sale or three, by not providing for a card transaction. That said, the Card companies have every right to charge what they want. They have to stay in business, too. I sent my contribution to the fund via a paypal payment. Paypal can cost a business as well, depending on a number of variables. This being America, "It's all about the Benjamins".

"Suggested TIP" Is always a zero from me.

Provide me good service and I will tip well.

Online, to go, and no service will be a zero.

If you have ever lived on tips, then you get it.

Of COURSE THEY DON'T TELL YOU!
It's how they make CrAzY money!
But, if you slide the little dot thingy over to the left, it will come to rest on $0.oo
Then you proceed without being scalped.
