My goof on the choke rod mention. I meant to say the groove is the same as the end of the short rod that connects the vacuum diaphragm (choke pull-off) to the choke shaft actuating lever.

Are you talking about the short rod that attaches to the choke pull-off?
You do not say where you are?
A local club member probably has a spare one.
Corvair Ranch probably has them.
Clark's sells "new" / reproduced ones.

Jim is looking for the 1968-69 only style of #6 shown in the picture below.
Throttle adjustment rod with threaded bottom and e-clip on the top end.
Driver side as the passenger side does not have the threaded adjustment.
1968-69 only e-clip style...not the 1965-67 loop slip over snap in place.

Just using a picture (Clark's catalog?) to indicate type of link...
68 - 69 driver's side primary carb uplink / rod from throttle lever to cross shaft?
