Differences in 1965 - 1969 fuel sender design?

Anyone know the difference between the '65-67 and '68-69 fuel sending unit? In the parts book the '65-67 is PN 3428063 and the '68'69 is PN 6428194.

I bought a NOS 69 sender that's still on the shelf and saw something was different but don't remember what it was. I thought it was interchangeable. I can try to remember to have a look if no one chimes in who just knows.

Still looking for a difference in these two LM sender part numbers. I have never noticed any differences, but why the 2 part numbers?

Feeble memory / guess -

Think the difference maybe in the arm that holds the float?

I replaced one sender and the float taps against the wall of the tank - just after it comes "off" full.

Never seen the parts side by side.

This makes perfect sense to me, hopefully someone happens to have both for comparison. Someone mentioned all reproduction tanks are 1969 style (reliefs for front stabilizer rods to not puncture the tank in a collision), and I have noticed my original senders hitting inside the tank After replacing with a reproduction tank
