Ok I can't find anything on this so maybe someone here knows.
The 6 bolts that hold the front suspension in place. There are 2 short bolts and 4 long bolts. Does anyone know the torque specs? I've looked everywhere.

Thanks

Assembly manual has them.

Per the 1965 assembly manual, the short bolt is 25-35 ft lbs, the two long bolts 35-45 ft lbs.

I would just go for Grade 5 3/8-16 generic spec or less.
Breaking a bolt off up there when installing or 10 years from now removing is no fun, especially if it's Grade 8.
I don't think the bolts really do much but hold it up there, it's the shape of the frame that takes the force out on the road. Maybe you could shear the bolts off if you hit a manhole in the street going 30 but that won't be your only problem.
Just an opinion and I could be wrong.
I got the manhole story from someone in a Tempest doing that very thing but the Tempest is considerably lower. I wasn't there and i've never been under a Tempest so I could be wrong again.

Funny you would say 'if' you would break a bolt.
Broke off one of the short ones and one of the long ones won't come out. Looks like I'll have to use a slitting saw and make a window thru the trunk to get to it.
