() Date: March 14, 2023 02:46PM I recently changed out the steering box on my 65 Monza. Since assembling the steering column I don't have turn signals (left or right); and no right rear brake light. Running lights work. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Re: No turn signal and no right rear brake light Posted by:

() Date: March 14, 2023 03:04PM did you drop the steering column in the process? If so, check for a pinched wire between the column mast jacket and the dash. and also check to make sure the halfmoon-shaped connector is seated correctly. () Date: March 14, 2023 10:46PM I have a similar problem. My tail lights are ok, the turn signal lights (both) work but the left hand brake light is non op. I think the problem is in the turn switch.(in the column at the steering wheel area) Those little springy things get brittle over time & work themselves out of position or break. I'll be checking that in a few days. No turn signals in front? or No turn signals in rear? or No turn signals front and rear? It makes a difference in the troubleshooting advice to be provided. () Date: March 15, 2023 06:49AM Al, No turn signals front, rear, and dash indicator. Only left brake light. Changed flasher also. Re: No turn signal and no right rear brake light Posted by:

() Date: March 15, 2023 06:52AM Sounds like the connector under the dash is partially disconnected or a cocked connection. Al Georgia Re: No turn signal and no right rear brake light Posted by:

() Date: March 15, 2023 07:40AM I will be there with my 66 More Door, if I get the front disc brake project completed in time. Donna and I will be trying to sell some parts at the outside vendor area both days. We just completed updating our spreadsheet of parts of what we are bringing. Very few EM or FC Specific items remain on the list. Items will be add up to the week we leave. It is available for anyone who wants a copy. Just send me a PM with an email address. () Date: March 15, 2023 07:56AM Check for connector issues or pinched wires first but you may need this image as a lot of those circuits mentioned go through this fickle turn signal switch assembly that is the "logic center" for the turn signal and brake light interactions. These can get tweaked when all of those steering parts have been removed and re-installed. Marker lights are controlled by the headlight switch so should not have been affected by your steering repair work. Photo shows a 65 turn signal switch partially disassembled. ![]() Dave W. / Gilbert Arizona 65 Corsa 140/4 Butternut Yellow 66 Corsa 140/4 Stinger Tribute 66 Corsa 140/4 w/factory A/C Aztec Bronze 65 Monza Convertible 110/4 Hunter Green 65 Monza 4DR 140/PG w/factory A/C Ermine White 65 Monza 4DR EJ20T/5 Light Mettalic Blue ![]() Re: No turn signal and no right rear brake light Posted by:

Really? ![]() Parking lights, running lights, marker lights, etc., no matter what people call them, they are all on the same lighting circuit through the headlight switch that has no relationship to the steering column plugs, wires or switches he would have had apart during his steering box repair. () Date: March 15, 2023 12:36PM Marker lights I always considered the side marker lights (68 - 69). Parking lights in front with rear tail lights on all cars. Headlight position mis way is park lights both front & rear on. Must be the way us notherners thought of the lights. Manual called the mid switch position park on head light switch. So front lights and tail lights were park lights until headlights come one then tail lights were running lights also but always tail lights (fuse legend- TAIL). But Mark can always clarify this. () Date: March 15, 2023 02:43PM The place to check on the turn signals is at the turn signal switch connector. Everything is right there. If the power is coming from the flasher and not coming out of the switch then it is a switch problem. If no power from the flasher, then check the flasher for power. If the turn signal switch is sending out the needed signals then check for power at the sockets. If the sockets have power then check bulbs and grounds.
