removing door weatherstrip

before I tear into this (pun intended) Does anyone have a good method for removing the door weatherstrip without ripping it? I know I will likely break the clips, but since my weatherstrip is perfect, I'd like to find a way to release the glue.

Never done it, but I would think a 2 inch putty knife covered in masking tape might work.

Patience. Go slow.

Slide the putty knife down to the clip and you may be able to pull them out.

The ones in the w/s can pull (tear) out easily.

I am talking about LM - not familiar with EM.

Do not know which solvent would break down the glue - without causing other issues if you are sloppy (like me).

Just checked google - a rubber / plastic putty knife is recommended.

3M has an adhesive remover.

It was pretty easy actually. I put some denatured alcohol in a syringe and took my time with an old gift card. Took about 10 minutes, came off nicely.
