Random parts - Where do they go?

Hello again,

Working on putting the 64 together today and came across some parts that I am a tad unsure where they live.

A rubber grommet of sorts with a 3 tab connector.

A sensor with the 4 hole rubber grommet. I assume this hooks up to the drivers head somewhere. Not sure off hand though.

The rear center bumper bracket. Where does this go? Picture is not mine, but looks identical.

Lastly, no picture. But I can get one if needed. A 12 point bolt. Little greasy. Under the engine somewhere? It indeed has 12 points instead of 6. If no one knows then I guess I will have to #yolo. The engine has been removed before. So must be something someone found on the floor that fit at some point.

Double lastly, making a note for mostly myself. I got a random piece of sheet metal I cannot figure out where it goes. I will have to fetch a picture tomorrow when I am back out at the shop and can provide.

Thanks for all your help so far. The knowledge of this forum has made things easier. Also shame on me for not documenting things well. I started off strong but at some point got a case of the F-Its.

the first pic is a thermister goes in the driver side head on turbo and 140 heads only. It is the sending unit for the cylinder head temp gauge. Be careful with it they are very fragile and impossible to find. The second is the firewall grommet which the main wiring harness, battery cable, fuel line and starter solenoid wires go thru. Third and fourth are the throttle rod grommet/bellows where it passes thru the firewall. Hope this helps.

Link is terrible, once I went to see pictures I had to close the tab and reload corvaircenter.com/phorum. When I right clicked after viewing the pictures I had a column of imgur links. What's up with that? Should have just been go back one page
to get back to answer the questions. Just a Boomer complaining....grinning smiley

Center bumper bracket goes on the center of the rear bumper. Front center bumper bracket includes front license plate bracket.

One picture is of thermistor. Goes in bottom of left head on Spyders and Corsas.

Bellows is accelerator rod bellows, goes on the accelerator rod next to where 4 hole grommet goes in front upper shroud.

Didn't see picture of three tab grommet.

Thanks for the help, everyone. Sorry about the pictures. I have a hard time uploading to this site so I just use Imgur.

12 sided bolt? Mystery solved. Grease was so hard on it that it took the shape of my socket. lol. I am not pretty certain I know where it goes.

Finally, where does this piece of sheet metal go?

The piece of sheet metal is the cover for the motor mount. There is a 3 piece retainer strip for holding the rear engine to body seal. The back of the seal is held in by the rear engine grille.

just so you know I didn't have any problem viewing the imgur pics other than the unrelated stuff following your pics they were large and clear.

Must just be my computer. I can see the pictures fine, just clicking the back arrow does nothing and right clicking produces a list of imgur.com sites, so I have to either close the window or choose show full history and click on CCF link, which opens in a new tab. All the time the original tab still shows imgur and the circle is going round and round. Chrome and Windows 11.

Answers of what parts are are good.thumbs up
