FC Headliner and oil leakes

Good Morning,
I have a 64 Greenbrier that did not have a factory headliner. Has anyone put in a Clarks headliner and if so does it go in the spaces between the bows and the outer edges ?

Also, I am in NC two hours east of Raleigh towards the outer banks and need someone to look at oil leaks that are beyond me, sorry to say.

Thanks,
Bill

my greenbriar is a 63 and thank god I had great help . the head liner is all individual sections clarks has them cut very close to correct size, only trimmed some corners. none of the roof bows come out . the headliner is glued in , we messured and used blue painters tape to mark center of fabric and center of the bows , duct tape to hold it up in place then released 1 side at a time placing glue on fabric and roof let it flash a few minuets then placed it up waited a bit till it would hold the glued the rest of the panel once it was up we then used boards the right length floor to roof and a board like 1/4 in plywood and held all in place over night . clarks sends 2 quart cans of glue I had to get 1 more from hardware store . the instructions from clarks says it is very difficult and to put it in perspective my son and I installed a new convert top on my 62 monza and I would not do a nother one , it turned out very nice . i would help a club member if asked , I WILL NEVER DO A NOTHER GB HEADLINER not even help someone with it . its much harder then convert tops

Roger,
Thanks for your reply. Actually I was thinking, do I want to do this ? Working over your head. Originally I was thinking of gluing a headliner to some luan plywood cut just a little bigger that the space between all the spaces between the sides and the roof bows and fitting it in. But that too is a lot of work.

Did your headliner fit into all the spaces around the edges and the roof bows ?

Thanks again,
Bill

Bill,
Mid-way down this page are some pictures and explanation of how I installed the headliner in the Firebrier.
