() Date: March 09, 2023 09:10AM I could sell my car to someone who wants to take it up. I'm not in a position for time, then there's belts and tires and... I've also gotten old and slow and would need a wider seat. Racing is fun but building the car was probably more for me. I had a good time but truth be told I was never all that good. I think the car was better than me but it would be hard to watch someone else flog it about. Jim Brandberg Isanti, MN CorvairRepair.com ![]() Re: Racing at Indy Posted by:

() Date: March 09, 2023 09:53AM Back in the 80's when the Hoosier Auto Show used to be hosted there, we got to drive our Corvairs around the track. Speeds were limited to 60-70, single file, no passing, etc. It was still a great time even with all those limitations. I hope you get enough to attend. () Date: March 09, 2023 07:07PM Back in the late 70s early 80s Russ Brandenburg was a member of our club (CCE) his dad worked in the pits at Indy. So our club got invited to time trials every year.We were let into the infield, got tours of gasoline alley and to cap it off we were able to take our Corvairs on the track and do laps. What a thrill. ![]() Ray Johnson Villa Park IL 63 Spyder Conv. 140 EFI Re: Racing at Indy Posted by:

You've got a place to stay if you make it, Phil. El Mirage is looking iffy for me, if your monsoon hasn't already washed it out. Scott Danville, In.
