() Date: February 11, 2023 09:47AM Saturday March 11th 2023 2-6PM Rock and RollMcDonald’s at Talking Stick Pavilions 9140 East Talking StickWay, Scottsdale, AZ 85250 This cruise-in celebrates all Corvairs from show cars to survivors to daily drivers and is a non-judged event. Any and all Corvairs or Corvair-powered vehicles are welcome! No entry fee but we do appreciate any donations to the local Ronald McDonald Charities. Members of the V8 Registry CORSA Chapter 006 will also be joining in the activities. The official cruise-in runs from 2 PM – 6 PM but we will be there by mid-morning setting up and early arrivals are always welcome. You are encouraged to stay through the whole evening and enjoy the famous all-makes and models Saturday night cruise-in at the Rock & Roll McDonalds. We will have a special area set aside for our Corvairs and you don’t have to be a club member to join this cruise-in. All are welcome. We want to see this event filled with Corvairs so if you have one, bring it out. This includes well-worn daily drivers as well as high-end show cars. We enjoy seeing them all as long as you can get them to the show safely. It’s a casual show so don't worry if your Corvair has some wear and tear. The show is at the famous Rock and Roll McDonald’s Car Show at Talking Stick in Scottsdale near the 101 freeway. All Corvair related vehicles are welcome to join us. The event will include a drawing for door prizes to include anyone who brings a vehicle to show. Corvairs have a reputation for throwing fan belts so we’ll have a game set up for the kids to throw a few fan belts of their own and maybe win a treat from McDonalds. This is a charity event. 100% of all donations will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Phoenix. Schedule 10:00 AM Setup crew on-site. Early arrivals welcome! 2:00 PM Cruise on in with your Corvair! ?4:00 PM Announcements and door prize drawings 6:00 PM Event ends but you are welcome to stay until 8 PM to continue showing your Corvair Dave W. / Gilbert Arizona 65 Corsa 140/4 Butternut Yellow 66 Corsa 140/4 Stinger Tribute 66 Corsa 140/4 w/factory A/C Aztec Bronze 65 Monza 4DR 140/PG w/factory A/C Ermine White 65 Monza 4DR EJ20T/5 Light Metallic Blue ![]() Edited 1 time(s). () Date: March 14, 2023 06:32PM Thanks to all who joined us last Saturday in Scottsdale for a very successful event! A total of 27 Corvairs made an apprearance even with a few club regulars unable to attend this year. The weather was great with high clouds most of the day that helped keep the temperatures quite pleasant. There are more photos at the link below and I'll have a video up soon with walk-around views of most of the cars. I know I missed a few during the very busy day of Corvairs arriving and departing. A Supercharged Grand Prix 3800 setup. Owner/builder is Jaime Gonzalez and he had a build thread on Corvair Forum for a few years plus has 8 videos on Youtube. This 4th video shows a lot of the technical details. [youtu.be] Here is the 8th video from about 6 month ago that shows the painting. () Date: March 23, 2023 12:36AM Thanks for the references, Dave, thought I watched all of his videos, but I missed the part about the rack and pinion install. Can't believe he did all that body work in a month, turned out beautifully! I didn't understand how the glass guy flush mounted the windshield, have to watch that again, too. Scott Danville, In. () Date: March 27, 2023 11:38PM Dave, Sorry to bother you again! Around the 7 minute mark in your video, you've passed two black earlies, and a red early coupe: if you'd continued that direction, you'd have seen the next car, but instead you turned around. That next car was a blue late coupe, with the Subaru H-6 and what appears to be a five speed transaxle. Do you know if that conversion has been described in writing or video, or if the owner would be willing to converse about it? Scott Danville, In.
