F/S !! 140hp Cylinder heads
Posted by: Turbo coupe ()

I have a pair of complete except missing a exhaust tube or 2 late Corsa heads that have just been rebuilt I had them built for my turbo car and made a manifold that went to all 4 ports then made plates and blocked 2 off.
Problem was I could not stop detonating so I took them off after about 10 miles they are completely new make me a honest offer and I will sell them.
You know that they are not easy to come by.

AFAIK, a item for sale on here should have a location, pictures and a asking price.
Maybe not a firm requirement, but common courtesy says this is proper etiquette so others can determine any interest.
I also believe running a ad as a auction is discouraged.

Define "rebuilt" and "completely new" please. Are these 140 heads? Were new valve seats installed?
Valve guides replaced? All valves and springs replaced? Who did the work on these? Location?
Head part numbers please.

Do these heads have new guides and deep seats? 65 (some smaller top shroud bolts) or 66-up (all large top shroud bolts)?

Tony, you have been a member here since 2020.
You only have two posts in the last two and a half years, and both of those are in the last 24 hours.
Just curious,.......have you been a lurking member on here, or completely dormant?
I ask because judging by your comment, "You know that they are not easy to come by" you seem to be under the misguided impression that 140 heads are kinda rare,
I hate to break it to you, but 140 heads exchange hands around here fairly often.
.
On a side note, Tim is quite right.
You really need to provide much more information.
WHAT exactly was done to these "rebuilt" heads, and WHO did the work.
Your LOCATION would be extremely helpful, especially since no one knows much about you.
You are probably a great guy, but there have been too many sales scams here on the forum lately.
In light of this small detail, I would not even consider making a purchase from an unknown entity, unless you lived close enough to go see these "rebuilt" heads In Person.

Sorry guys local machine shop did the work they have been doing my machine work for years I am in the north side of Atlanta and owned a auto repair shop for 40 plus years I started working on this Corvair Spyder 8 or 9 years ago and went through several reworks after first working with a person I will not identify in CA. The reason I have not been on here is it has taken till now to get back to the car after all the problems and a very bad experience with my back needing major surgery I will put some pictures of the heads on here
