Had an enjoyable time at the Albany Rod and Speed Show this weekend. Lots of good comments about the Corsa. It was amusing -- the younger folks had No idea what it was and had never seen one, much less a good one. Older car guys knew what it was but had the usual misinformation about Nader, oil leaks, etc. As usual, the thing people were most curious about was the engine. I'd guess a third of folks thought it was a 4-cylinder, and though they looked into the compartment, they really couldn't visualize what it really was under the shrouding. In the next (maybe last) big show I want to put it in, I plan to have a shell of an engine on a stand so people can see how it really looks. At these shows, most car hoods are open so motorheads can look inside, but other than the 4 carburetors, fan and air cleaner, the Corvair engines are pretty much hidden. Some education is in order, and I plan to provide it. Should be fun!

Same car I bought in 1/68 the night before I went to Viet Nam he second time. Got it back in 8/15. Very near concours perfect.
