() Date: January 20, 2023 08:49AM I am in the process of building the proper engine for my 65 Corsa Turbo. So I need to start thinking of selling the engine that was in it, when I got it. What should I expect to get for an early turbo engine? I will be keeping the air cleaner, heat shield and most of the tins. here are the part numbers of the major components Heads 3817287 = 1962-63 150 Block T04I7YR= 60-63 turbo 150 Turbo 3830651 s/n 1169 = 1963 Dist 1110290 =1962 Pressure retard 224 =62-64 turbo any info would be great, thanks in advance Attachments: ![]() Re: whats it worth Posted by:

() Date: January 20, 2023 09:05AM If you can show a video of it running well, with oil pressure displayed and a hot compression test, I would guess a decent amount. Maybe up to 10 Benjamins. If you can confirm it was making boost. To the right buyer. Minus the special Spyder tins , air cleaner and heat shield could be a issue. Since they would have to be sourced. For a fresh installation in a non- Turbo car. As is without the above, it is basically a core for rebuild. Might bring $500 . More to a person with a defunct 62 -62 Turbo engine in a 62-63 Spyder. () Date: January 20, 2023 09:50AM I will keep it running in the car until I sell it. That way any potential buyers can inspect it in running condition. If its only worth 500-1000, then I may have to sell it piece by piece on ebay (ugh!) The turbo stuff seems to get decent money there. I think I do have an early heat shield in my parts stash, I just dont know what year it is, I will have to look that up. Thanks Re: whats it worth Posted by:

() Date: January 20, 2023 10:14AM Oh, man it happened to you too huh? I'm in the same boat. As a stop gap, I built the top end and intake up and its really fun to drive as is. However, another 30-40 horses would be fun! Whenever I get around to building my spare 180 block, I'll be looking to do the same thing. Good luck! I just got the proper heads and crank back from the machine shop. The late model Turbo and carb just showed up, freshly rebuilt. I have a new set of large bore full fin jugs with forged pistons and rebuilt rods. Next I to decide on a cam. I have a new otto-10 and an NOS 110 cam, but I think I need to get something a little better for this build. The goal is to have it put together for the summer.
