Hello All,

I am in search of two parts to complete my 64 suspension rebuild. Neither are currently available used from Clarks, California Corvairs or eBay. Hoping someone here might be able to help. They are the last pieces to the puzzle and cannot find them anywhere.

1. '64 RH Front - Lower Control Arm

2. Stabilizer Bar - Outer End Clamp - ( Clarks part # CU434B )

I have included photos of both for reference. Fingers crossed. Thanks!

Scott Moorhead has a ‘64 that I bought one clamp from about 3 months ago.

Both control arms are on the car. I may not need the one clamp I have.

I can verify this weekend - I will have no need for it if the person I bought it for doesn’t need it. Just a clamp from me. Scott will have your control arm.

Goes by Corvair Farmer on Facebook. A separate page called Corvair Parts is where I deal with him.

John Sweet might have what you need but they would probably be NOS (but most likely affordable).

That's actually a mirror'd image of the LH control arm that I have. I bought a RH from California Corvairs but it has the wrong clamp on it.

Gerg, any luck locating that clamp?

I didn't see any control arms on Corvair Farmer's site. I'll try John Sweet and Corvair Ranch... Thanks for the leads.

PM Scott directly - I have the pictures he sent me of the car they are on - it is the one he took this bracket off of. I will look today for sure!

I will be in Baton Rouge tomorrow if I left it there. Will grab if it isn't here.

I am likely buying the windshield out of the same car he has.

Dave Motohead is another possible source for that control arm

That other arm must be for a '62 or '63?

More info here about 62-63 vs 64 swap bars, brackets and hardware.

The 62-63 had a much different sway bar setuo than in 64 when it becames a standard item on all cars. Diameter increased again in 65.

Also note sway bars diameters increased.
1962-1963....Diameter: 0.625" (RPO 696 (1962) / RPO 3-F40 (1963) SPECIAL HEAVY DUTY FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION EQUIPMENT)
1964...........Diameter: 0.750"
1965-1969....Diameter: 0.812"

64CorvairSpyder - The Baton Rouge segment of my trip fell off the itinerary as the club member did not make the Saturday event. I am fairly certain the clamp is there and that he does not need it. I will let you know as soon as we get down there to finish up the brakes on his '65 Corsa (different car, I am definitely looking for your '64 only clamp). I can look then.

He is in the process of changing his '62 Monza suspension to '64. I completed the rear last year. He has had your luck in that a vendor sent him '62-3 lower control arms more than once. Says he finally has 2 '64 arms WITH the clamps. We shall see.
