Anyone else been keeping up with the Mecum auction this year in Kissimmee? Not as many Corvairs as last year yet, but as of today there have been 10 cross the block, 9 of which were sold. a couple of them seem to be bringing big bucks. Mostly earlys, with just 2 lates so far.

I missed the Vairs entirely, darn!

Nice Olds 442 and W30 brought some good money $130k+.

MoPars and winged cars did well and even some reasonable mid year Vettes.

A non-customized relatively plain looking Mustang fastback with 289 but supposedly 1 of 1(?) special paint color and interior, green and parchment combination, for $160,000, stupid money, but I don’t like Stangs.

I will have to go back thru the sales results.

Was a good show, we go every year as we live an hour North. Last year I bought a 62 Coupe, this year I sold my 64 Spyder Coupe. Only bought some Road Art I’ll probably be selling a 64 Monza convertible next year.

If anyone on this forum was the Buyer of my 64 Spyder, I have a big packet of info for the car that I intended to put in before it went across the block. The MECUM folks weren’t much help in providing Buyer info and simply offered to have my name/phone in the file for when the Buyer paid (which much have taken pace quickly)

That's because last year several dozen Corvairs were put in the auction by a single collector. He is still selling off his collection and has listed a few on BAT the last few months like this one.
