What is the best choice regarding the material? I always used Fel-Pro but the Pix don't look like they used to.

I like the material John Sweet sells. It's more rigid than rubber or cork/rubber so you can actually tighten the bolts without the gasket squishing out. I seem to have better luck with this material with a Late pan with the positive ribs than an Early pan with the negative recesses.

x3 on John Sweets gaskets, just double check with him on the material it is made from. I know there was a period of time he could not get it due supply chain issues.

I got some a month or two ago and it was back to the original good material.

4X on John Sweet's gaskets, and parts in general. He's also a proud associate sponsor on my 69 vert.

With four thumbs up for John Sweet gaskets (BTW, never used his pan gasket but he was a pleasure to buy other items from) I have to ask Wagon Master if his signature "Friends Don't Let Friends Drive Stock" is new, or have I just missed it all these years? confused smiley It sure made me chuckle when I saw it. smiling bouncing smiley
