Looking at pictures of Corvair engines running Weber three chokes, it appears angled spark plug boots on all plugs would make life easier. Please confirm.

Also, my carbs came with the plastic air horns/velocity stacks, some broken. Is there enough room in the pictured air cleaners that the air horns would be beneficial for air flow? Should I replace my broken ones? The Porsche air cleaner used with these carbs had a much straighter shot to the venturi, so could see their advantage in that application.

Unless you are racing you probably don't need the velocity stacks. All mine are chromed steel. Did somone print the stacks?

As far as needing 90 degree boots? Not really, just use wire loom clips to keep the wires out of the way, TyWraps if you need to.

stock plug wires work fine or Seths wires .... the velocity stacks are sometimes magnesium , plastic work fine , steel chrome too I might have a spare or two around here , modify some cheap empi ones I would run them if you can

I don't mind making their with straight or 90 degree boots. The 90s cost more, I buy the boots from a place in Massachusetts. With the Weber 3-barrels, you actually have a much easier linkage clearance than with normal 140 linkage. The Weber linkage sits high and at the ends. Also the Spiro-Pro silicone wire "lays down" more than the stock Neoprene. I have always used straight boots with my Webers.
