140 Ex Logs/Turbo heads?

Can the 140 logs be safely used on turbo heads, and, if so I’m guessing turbo head exhaust donuts on the tubes? Thanks,

Rocco

YES!
At least that is my understanding. eye rolling smiley
Sure seems that someone on here has mentioned using them.
At the least, I just gave you a bump to the top. grinning smiley

I’ve run them on all my turbos. Plus I have run them on many non 140 engines. You have to be extra certain the logs go on and stay square as the tube no longer helps center it, but they work fine. Use the smaller non 140 gaskets.

zarfnober, the 140 heads have larger diameter exhaust stacks.so, the manifolds do too. They will go on/over the smaller 180 stacks but I doubt it you will get a good seal with the 140 donut gaskets. I would think you stand a better chance of a good seal if you tried the smaller 180 donuts on the 180 stacks. Good luck & let us know how things went.

Fun idea Rocco :
IIRC the 110 smog manifolds have a larger passage inside.
Remove the pipes and possible use them to help the flow to the turbo ?
Also, the connection to the smog air pipe could be plumbed to a waste gate ??
Always wanted to try this on 150 or 180 turbo.
And they fit the turbo exhaust tubes.

Thanks for the replies everyone, and yes, I planned on using the standard 180 donuts on the tubes. My real concerns here are I’m going to be using my heater, and, I don’t want an exhaust leak to throw off the wide band 02 sensor and EFI ecu. Thanks again,

Rocco

I had a wide band o2 on mine and never an issue from the logs. Same for the heater.

I knew I was saving those smog manifolds for some reason...
