Agree, sometimes it's better to just let if go.

Yep, years ago I bought two dial-up 33.6 modems that came with a $20 rebate each. When the rebates did not arrive in a timely manner I sought out the company and found they were in the next town over. I went there and got to speak to a real human being who assured me the rebates were coming. Well.., they didn't. I got so worked up I had plans of writing my opinion of the company on a 4X8 sheet of plywood and parking right in front of their building. I had delusional visions of someone dashing out of the building and handing me two $20 bills to get me to go away.

Shortly before taking that action I was vacationing on Catalina Island. Before the ferry left for the mainland I was killing time reading the Business section of the paper. Ironic that there was an article of the very company, that they had been foreclosed on and shut down with no assets.
In as much as I was now knowingly out my $40 I had a huge sense of relief in knowing that I had no reason to continue to stew over it because I had no recourse. Today it seems even more silly given I have fiber optic connectivity.

"Charles" sent me a message yesterday, asking if I'd gotten his photos. I replied, sure, just like my friend got his windshield gasket for his '61 coupe.
