The bore of turbine housings is as follows: (approximate)

B-Flow: 2.13”
F-Flow: 2.37”

1962-63 uses flat gasket rather than donut for down pipe.

I know very little about turbos. Maybe 40 or more years ago I bought a complete turbo carb assembly at a garage sale. I was told it was off an early model. the part number on the on the tag is 3840830 which according to the GM parts book is a 62-64 turbo. There is also a serial number on the tag 31730. However this one definitely has the champhered bore for the donut gasket.Does that mean it's a 64?

My early Corvair B flow 150 B turbo exhaust housing takes a flat gasket.
I thought all 62-63 ones did .
Right ?

Hi Rocco, I did the same.
On a milling machine.
Rather easy with a 180 exhaust housing to copy.
Made a plate to hold it in the mill vise.
But still looking for a 180 compressor wheel in perfect shape to complete mine.
Have the 180 compressor hosing.

Here is a late Crown I have. Looks the same. Must be the other side where the difference is since it looks just like the 180 hsg in the pic--just sharing

The A/R of the crown housing may be lower.
It may have this number cast inside the exhaust pipe opening if you clean off the rust.

Yes, until I modify them to take the doughnut!

110pg, To me, it looks like you have an "E" flow compressor & housing. That's the one I have on my '65 180 turbine. It goes like a bat outta h""". mucho boost too.
