FOUND! - WTB - .020 over cast iron piston ring set (1965 110hp)

Good day!
This may be a long shot but both vendors I spoke with today either don't carry or are out of stock. I am in need of a complete set of .020 cast iron piston rings for my '65 110hp engine. Anyone have a set they are willing to part with?

My wholesaler has some on the shelf, hastings .020 #669. $105 for the set.

Hastings are pretty good rings. I have had poor results with Grant rings twice. Bad quality

Very hard to find.
Given the large .020"or bigger gap of most new Corvair ring sets , you might try a single .030 over bore CAST Iron ring and see if it can be filed to a.012"- 014"end gap.
This is the correct range for a Corvair ring end gap.
I have done this in the past In a pinch.
I did use a 220 hone to help the ring break in easily.
This will not work with Chrome edge rings!!
One time , many years ago I even used a lightly used .030" 0verbore ring set to do this.
For a " Econo " street engine rebuilt
Turns out not much filing was needed.

Obviously, the end gap needs to be measured 1/2 way down the bore with the ring squared up with a inverted piston.
Due to the natural taper wear in a Corvair cylinder, if a used cylinder is being used.

The DAY after I was scammed (didn't loose any money) it popped up on two auto parts sites I was monitoring that they could now supply the LM Corvair .020 piston rings. I placed an order with Summit Racing. According to my email today, they will be delivered tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

(1) Set of LM Corvair piston rings .020 over sized by Hastings (Made in USA) showed up on my doorstep today. I really don't use Summit Racing very often but they were the first to update their inventory with availability.
Just got a call that my crank and block are ready! Now just waiting for the heads to be finished.

I have a set of .020 if someone wants them they have a one-piece oil ring however I forget the brand but I could look if someone wants them
