() Date: October 30, 2022 08:09PM $ 550.00 for "mag" / aluminum wheel hub caps ? I guess I live on another planet.I just can not imagine what these things look like or what they are made of. I hate to sound so negative but this is not reasonable. () Date: October 30, 2022 08:25PM Here is a discussion with pictures back in 2019. This is not a link to another ad, just pictures of cars wearing them and typical pro/con discussions by the people on here. ![]() Frank DuVal Fredericksburg, VA Re: for sale 4 13" corvair mag hub caps Posted by:

() Date: October 31, 2022 08:08AM Here is what they look like on a car. Personally, I think they only look good on certain cars. On most cars they are ugly as sin, IMHO. I feel they ought to be priced at half that of wire wheel covers. A lot more people like them than like the mags, hence the half price. -Mark Attachments: ![]() Re: for sale 4 13" corvair mag hub caps Posted by:

() Date: October 31, 2022 12:31PM I have a set of these that are like new -- but I cannot get them on my factory 13" steel wheels -- pounding with a rubber hammer, short of damaging them. Any suggestions? I would like to sell them as I don't need them. Steve '66 Corsa Ofallon, MO Re: for sale 4 13" corvair mag hub caps Posted by:

() Date: October 31, 2022 06:58PM I need to apoligize for the statement I made previously about these "hub caps". What I consider hub caps to be are the smallish center mounted caps that cover or enhance the lug nuts. I see now that you are selling full wheel covers.I just couldn't see how a set of hub caps could be worth the asking price. Full wheel covers are another thing. These are pretty nice looking & I hope you get a buyer soon. () Date: November 01, 2022 06:34AM Steve, if they are indeed "like new" then a rubber deadblow hammer is probably needed (and carefully wielded), as they and the wire wheel covers both have rims that are lined with little spikes that dig into the rim. They are needed to keep the heavy wheel cover on the rim. Over time, the sprig steel that holds them tight weakens, but initially they are a bear to install. So go ahead and swing that rubber mallet, but just be careful not to damage the chrome rim. The pictures in the link Frank posted show them on cars that look good with them, just like my Texas 4 door. It depends on the car, as I said, and those cars all look good with them. Wires, on the other hand, seem to look good on anything. Hence my previous statement. Odd thing is, despite their limited appeal, the vendors all ask the same price for them as the wires. Go figure. -Mark Re: for sale 4 13" corvair mag hub caps Posted by:

Any suggestions? Sometimes they will interfere with the wheel weights. I had to have weights relocated to the inside bead on one of my wheels. () Date: November 01, 2022 11:34AM These should not interfere with standard wheel weights. They cover the outer part of the rim where the weights are but are over the top of them. RJ tools Salem,Oregon ![]() Re: for sale 4 13" corvair mag hub caps Posted by:
