() Date: October 24, 2022 08:42AM Was stored in a garage for the last 30+ years. The engine turns, but we haven't tired to start it. The title was lost, but we're trying to get a replacement. [youngstown.craigslist.org] Re: FS - 1965 Corvair with AC Posted by:

() Date: October 24, 2022 09:05AM Cool! 500 - A/C - 3-speed! Can't tell which engine. I'd love to have it! No room at the inn. Enjoy the Corvair! () Date: October 24, 2022 11:33AM This car brings back memories for me. I used to own (briefly) a 65 500 4 door, 110 with 3 speed WITH A/C the same color. I wish it was closer. Re: FS - 1965 Corvair with AC Posted by:

() Date: October 24, 2022 09:54PM I used to go to school 20min from here. Wish I was still that close. The A/C alone is worth the price. Re: FS - 1965 Corvair with AC Posted by:

() Date: October 25, 2022 03:21AM Missing the 65’ ac air cleaner but pretty decent old car I’d say. Re: FS - 1965 Corvair with AC Posted by:

Also missing the entire A/C condenser but hopefully that and the air cleaner parts are in the trunk. At least the electric-over-vacuum fast idle canister seems to be intact. () Date: November 19, 2022 06:49PM Don't scrap it if nobody else buys it give me a month or two, tax time at the latest. Need to get something fixed so I can tow it. Youngstown OH? Also, before I commit, any rust holes or bad rust anywhere? I don't care about that giant dent for $1,000, it'll add character lol Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/19/2022 06:52PM by Snick. () Date: November 20, 2022 09:26AM Wish I was closer. But you won't get 800 from a scrapyard. Suggestion: take a deposit from one of the local buyers that need more time. Come to an agreement. Then wait a short time as per the agreement. Re: FS - 1965 Corvair with AC Posted by:

() Date: November 20, 2022 12:06PM Stored for 30 years. Need to sell immediately. Cant' wait. From the sounds of it, I would guess this is an Estate Item, and there is NO PLACE to store it. Why is anyone worried about rusty floors??? ![]() The parts alone are worth more than the asking price. Someone GO GET THAT THING ! ! ! IF the floors are bad, then part the thing out. If they are good, then drive the thing and have fun with a Classic Beater/Driver! -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- WA. state, 1 mile south of the Canadian border, I am not at the end of the world, but you can see it from here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: FS - 1965 Corvair with AC Posted by:

() Date: November 21, 2022 06:31AM 500's with air conditioning are not common. I won't use the word rare about this Corvair. Re: FS - 1965 Corvair with AC Posted by:

() Date: November 21, 2022 07:22AM I added a photo of the build tag to the Craigslist post. The car was my dad's. He passed away recently and my mom put her house up for sale two weeks ago. The house sold and we need to get everything out by December 1st. I'd like to sell the car this weekend as I have nowhere to store it. The floors are pretty solid, there's only one hole and on the passenger's side. Oh, and we found the title. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 11/21/2022 07:27AM by chrischris. Unfortunately, the correct answer would be "Everything" but I suspect that can't happen in this instance. There are several parts specific to the Air Conditioning system that are difficult to come by these days but, it would take a good amount of effort to identify and remove them unless you are intimately familiar with these cars. Even the engine block has a code stamped on it that is specific to A/C cars. Even if you were able to save every valuable part off of the car, you would still need to transport and store them until homes could be found. The best and most effective method of storing the parts would be to leave them intact and find someone willing to take the car whole. It is sad to hear that so many valuable parts will most likely disappear but they can't all be saved. After the car is gone, it would not surprise me that someone that rarely visits this site will reply the live around the corner and would have taken it if they had known about it...It seems it often goes this way. 1962 95 F.C.
