Best Way to Clean Crankshaft after Machined?

Whats the Best Way to Clean the Crankshaft before final installation? Brake Cleaner? I just picked it up after being Machined .010 under and polished. Getting ready for Assembly this weekend.

I use the laundry sink filled with a stiff solution of Dawn detergent. Compressed air dry. Followed immediately by WD-40. It's a water displacer.

Double what WM said. Warm dish detergent and immediate compressed air dry and then coat with light oil.

Get a small wire cleaning brush ( from a gun cleaning kit) and clean the oil passages. Scrub them ,soap and hot water !

I spray brake cleaner through the passages in the garage and then wait until my wife leaves and then clean it in the kitchen sink with hot water, Dawn and a small wire brush. I put a new squirt of Dawn on the brush for every passage, rinse down through there with hot water and repeat.
I bring the crankcase in there too and she doesn't need to know.
I blow it out with air when done to get all the water out.

Warning...
Make sure the Wife is out shopping whenever using the kitchen sink! Also follow up with a detailed sink cleaning with Comet cleanser. And also check the floor for residue drips. Do not leave greasy fingermarks on the paper towel roll. Final note... don't put anything garage related in the kitchen trash can.
Failure to follow these tips may result in serious injury or death! This is extremely and especially important if removing and installing valve seats and guides with the oven!
