() Date: September 25, 2022 02:58AM 64 convertible, when I removed the starter I had marked the yellow wire on the bottom of the starter solenoid, the purple one on top, I reconnected it and nothing, not even a click out of the starter, if I switch the wires the starter turns but it is not correct, any ideas? Thank you Re: Solenoid question Posted by:

() Date: September 25, 2022 05:13AM Just checking, The S terminal should get the purple wire. The R terminal would be the thinner yellow wire. I believe S is on the bottom, so purple bottom yellow on top. -Tom ![]() 63' Monza Spyder Convertable (in process) MY Build Thread 62' Wagon rebuild MY Build Thread 65' Monza MY Build Thread 73' NovaSS 454 Big block (Sold) 86' BMW 325es 67' UltraVan 211 "Violet" NFCC, UMCC Grand Island, NY Edited 1 time(s). () Date: September 25, 2022 05:43AM Did you reconnect the battery is my first question. Is the 2 terminal connector on stater lead connected to the engine harness is the second question. What is battery voltage is last question. Al Georgia Re: Solenoid question Posted by:

() Date: September 25, 2022 06:11AM Yes you had them marked incorrectly. Purple on bottom to "S" terminal. Jim Brandberg Isanti, MN CorvairRepair.com ![]() Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum. |
