LM Heater Box Work

A while back I took the heater box out of my 66 Coupe. Of course, it resulted in snapping off one of the mount studs. I replaced it with a 1/4-20 blind nut (riv-nut).

I tore down the heater box and found flapper valves in good condition. Housing interior surfaaces were cleaned with Lysol cleaner and hot water. Immediately dried off. Jigh temp satin clear Coat was applied. THe outside had been also cleaned and then pained with brushed nickel paint. It looks good to me even though not stock. Not worried about keeping this car to stock standard.

Box has been reassembled and both valve settings verified. I found an aluminum duct end cap to blank off the fresh air inlet. It fit very snug. Two rivets and it will stay there until some other owner wants to activate the fresh air system.

Heater box will be put in Wednesday afternoon.
