I have a 64 convertible, automatic, would someone mind sending a photo of the throttle valve lever on the drivers side of the transmission? I’m looking to see which linkage goes where and if I installed the bracket incorrectly. Thank you.

Sorry I'm not ordinarily much of a photo guy.
The end of the swivel that goes to the engine should be towards the front and has a longer arm.
The end of the swivel that goes to the pedal should be towards the bottom.
It rotates clockwise.
There is an adjustment procedure and photos in the '61 and '65 Service Manuals which is especially important with a PG throttle valve.

Here's the TV (Throttle Valve) lever on my '60.

You mention that you replaced the lever - that has to be replaced by pulling the transmission pan. Are you sure you have the shift cable installed correctly?
