Please honor those and their families who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Every time I step into an elevator, I think of what it must have been like being in one of the elevators when the plane wiped out the center core of Tower 1. It would have been bad, no matter whether you were above, below, or at the impact floors.

But if that weren't creepy enough, that's the year I went to Europe to visit a couple of friends in the Netherlands and Germany. The plane I took back from Amsterdam to here was the very same flight two of the hijackers took on their way back from Europe. It's then that I think of every time I take a plane.

And then I think of flight 93, how they fought back. Boy did those idiots pick the wrong flight to hijack. The three who lead the rebellion were all athletes, and any one of them more than a match for the clown that was put to guard the cockpit door. One of the guys was an amateur rugby player. Rugby has been described as American football, but without the pads. Talk about tough! And to engage in it just for sport? Now that's one tough dude. They named the most prestigious amateur rugby world championship trophy after him.

By the time I caught on to what was going on that day it was all over. All aircraft was already on the ground. I became aware about 8:15AM PST while living in Los Angeles. WE SHALL NEVER FORGET.

Late post here for me.
My flag was flying, just like every year!
