Re: WTB Looking for "Tinted" side glass for Greenbrier

All of the flat glass in the Greenbrier has identical markings which would lead me to believe it was all from the same source and was probably replaced for one reason or another.

All of the roll up windows do have the rubber "Lip" type seal on the outer side of the glass channel, that acts to seal rain from entering I would guess.

I found two potential sources for replacement Glass for the Greenbrier.
One was referred to me by a forum member. [www.autocityclassic.com]
I sent an inquiry and got the following reply:
We offer the windshield in the original green tint with the shade band only. The other pieces are not inventoried but can be easily cut.
If we do not have patterns on hand, we would request patterns from you.
Unfortunately, none of this can be done through our website so you would need to contact one of our sales representatives at 1-800-828-2212.

They are located at 28433 Highway 65 NE, Isanti Minnesota, US, 55040

The other, I found on flea bay advertising replacement glass "kits" for early Corvair cars. [www.ebay.com]

I sent an inquiry and they responded with the following information:

Hey Caraholic4life,

Yes, we can get you all the glass you need. Flat and curved.
The Flat kit (12 pieces) would cost 925-950 plus 140-160 to ship to Maryland.
The curved windshield would cost 480 plus shipping. I can get shipping rate, when I have a accurate shipping address.

As for color choices. For the side glass and back glass you can choose clear, easy eye green or a smoke shadow grey (44% visibility).

The Windshield you could choose clear, Easy eye green or easy eye green with a dark blue shade band.
Also on rare occasions: a extremely light grey (70% visibility) or light grey with shade band.

I hope this helps. Please contact us if you would like to continue with this order.

Thanks,
Mike

Later, I found their website [www.bobsclassicautoglass.com]
800-624-2130 or 541-925-3260 and located in Blachly, Oregon

I replied with some additional information and questions this afternoon and will wait for their reply before making any decisions.

IF anyone here has actual experience with either of these vendors, Please share your thoughts.
Any constructive thoughts and or comments would also be appreciated.
