() Date: August 26, 2022 06:18PM A gentleman here in Westminster, MD is interested in purchase of a 1966 Monza 110 convertible, 4 speed on E-bay. It is light blue with light blue interior and white top. It is located at a dealer called ThrottleStop and their phone number is 920-876-2277. The mileage shown in the advertisement is about 31K. Is there anyone that can assist us and make an inspection of this Corvair? Re: Need someone to look at Corvair in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin Posted by:

() Date: August 26, 2022 07:29PM Not a bad looker. Clearly had some custom work done by a prior owner like the Corsa dash installed into a Monza, gauges above the radio and the 1965 front trim. BTW...since the dash has very clearly been replaced they should stop claiming that 31K miles is the original mileage. No way that can be true. Also, the Fisher Body tag has been reattached so I would ask to see photos of the VIN tag too. I didn't see that in the included photos. I would also ask for underbody pics including the trunk floor and the door sills/rockers. () Date: August 26, 2022 07:47PM Yes, that is the one! Dave has pointed out some good issues that should lead to a good vehicle inspection. The gentleman interested in this vehicle is more concerned with the mechanical and body condition than in originality. It does appear to be a good looker but a good close inspection should tell the truth about its true condition. Hoping that someone in the area can help with this inspection endeavor........ () Date: August 28, 2022 04:25PM would love see what someone has to say about this after personal inspection! Anyone? Absolutely cannot call out this as 31K original miles with a changed dash and obvious repaint. Car looks fantastic though! If the car has been completely gone through and is turn key with no hidden rust I'd say the car is priced right. () Date: September 04, 2022 08:40PM I had the pleasure of visiting the Museum at Throttle Stop in July, it is only about 2 miles North of Road America in Elkhart Lake Wisconsin, and both are about an hour North of Milwaukee. If you are interested in a Corvair, you may wish to turn it into a road trip, you can also visit the race track in addition to the museum. I purchased at 1946 Nimbus motorcycle from them, the owners and managers were most professional and the operation seems to be first class. John 1962 Rampside, 4.3 Vortec powered.
