Rear crossmember question
Posted by: vacman ()

I have a 64 convertible, on the rear crossmember there is a bushing with a bolt on each side for the transmission bracket, the one bushing spins, does this mean it is broken, I have the drive train out of the vehicle, how hard is it to change this bushing, it looks like the crossmember has to come out because I can get to the bolts near the body of the car, thank you,

Are you referring to front transmission mounts?

Use a GM 9/16" dist wrench to get the front bolt. It works on a late and I think it works on an early also.
