() Date: August 03, 2022 11:59AM I am trying to find rear seat heat outlets for my 63 convertible. The carpet is covering the opening now. Would like to have heat on cool evenings. Is this just a manually opened door or is there a grill covering it? Thanks for the help. Re: 63 Corvair rear seat heat outlets Posted by:

() Date: August 03, 2022 07:28PM They are metal. Late models have one plastic vent in the middle (over the almost hump). You can feel the hole they fit in through the carpet usually. Not the first time I've seen carpet over the heater vent holes. Here is a picture from California Corvairs of what the early vents look like. () Date: August 03, 2022 07:53PM Thanks for the info. Now I have to find a set. Seems like they must rust out due to where they are located. Some guys just let the carpet cover the opening. I like to keep the car as original as is possible. I did see the one at California Corvairs, but they were not in stock. Did find one but I thought $50.00 was a bit steep for just one.
