Phil-

From the Atlantic, to the Rockies is the 'East Coast' when it comes to rust.

Plenty of salt usage here in Iowa...

W o W !!

If that doesn't explain how incredibly TOUGH the Early Model "unibody" design was.....

This after having been yanked onto the open frame trailer -

All lines are still straight as an arrow!

Tough ol' 'vair!!

Put a marine tank in it and start it up for a drive!smileys with beer Do a hard harder oops test first, though.spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Earlies are tanks compared to late models. Way more bracing and thick metal in them. Especially true of the convertibles.

I have not see one rusted on the forward edge of the quarter like that one.eye popping smiley Sure, some bubbles are common just not completely open.grinning smiley

Late model engine. Aftermarket wiper delay box. Even the upholstery is OK.

I took a 62 from Ohio apart that was similar, good interior, not much body left, too much salt in everything on the body. My friend rebuilt the 102 and put it in his 63.
