() Date: July 30, 2022 08:40AM While I wait and hope for that perfect greenbrier, I'm out on a Saturday sitting in a field with a bunch of other old fogies, and loving it. () Date: July 31, 2022 03:42PM Went to a local show yesterday on a flat treeless field. The breeze in the morning was OK, but turned hot in the afternoon. Interesting listening to the "Corvair experts" coming by telling their friends all about Corvairs -- that they had 4-cylinder engines, that Nader did them in, that they were easy to roll over, etc. But also fun to have the "I had one in high school." types come by who wanted to talk. That's my fun in the car shows. As in most local shows, this one had 20 or so Judge's Choice trophies that they awarded to their friends. There was another local show scheduled for today that I was considering, but the forecast was for another hot day, so I bagged it. There are a Ton of shows coming up soon, but I'll be gone for a couple of weeks, and the next good show will be in Redmond come 8/20. I'll probably trailer the car over the pass to get to that one -- don't really feel like driving it in deep summer 250 miles round trip just to go to a car show. 1966 Corvair Corsa convertible Same car I bought in 1/68 the night before I went to Viet Nam he second time. Got it back in 8/15. Very near concours perfect. File Name File Size Date Added Delete Corsasmall.jpg Re: Loving the Car Show Scene Posted by:

() Date: July 31, 2022 05:33PM I turn 50 THIS January. The general-purpose car club I joined here in Fargo--Valley Vintage Car Club--also turns 50 next year. I guess I can't be that old because it still has some original members. ![]() You win, Phil. Re: Loving the Car Show Scene Posted by:
