() Date: July 27, 2022 07:49AM New article from Hemmings on the Corvair and other cars criminally undervalued...I agree Corvairs are a great classic car bargain. [www.hemmings.com] Eric Napa CA Re: Corvairs are Criminally Undervalued ! Posted by:

() Date: July 27, 2022 08:36AM My two collector cars are a 68 Vert and 76 XJ6C. Hopefully I live long enough to get half of the money back I have into them... I will say this. The most criminally undervalued thing about Corvairs is this forum. There's just nothing like it that I've found. I'm on Chevy Truck, LS Engine and Jaguar forums and they're all pathetic in comparison. You can post a relatively simple question and it's crickets. Either no one knows anything, they're not on the forum or don't care to post. Re: Corvairs are Criminally Undervalued ! Posted by:

() Date: July 27, 2022 09:18AM Love to see Corvairs getting the credit they deserve--and Corvair Center is a national treasure! () Date: July 27, 2022 09:40AM That XJ6C was a classic when it was introduced. I always liked the 2 door versions of Jaguar (well maybe not the XJS). My favorite might be the XK12C second only to the XKEs, XC120s, and the XK140s. I will buy some of these when I win the lottery. Re: Corvairs are Criminally Undervalued ! Posted by:

() Date: July 27, 2022 12:22PM Hi, Interesting that Corvairs and Jaguar XJ are in the same list. Jaguar XJ, as Corvair, were really ahead form other cars but underrated. This makes me more and more willing to try one and find one. Re: Corvairs are Criminally Undervalued ! Posted by:

() Date: July 27, 2022 07:42PM That don't look like any Jaguar 4.2L engine that I have ever seen. But I see a bunch of Jags. A couple of XKEs, another XJ, your VW and Porsche. I LOVE your shop/garage. I am back to wanting to win that $1,000,000,000 lottery. Re: Corvairs are Criminally Undervalued ! Posted by:

() Date: July 28, 2022 08:35AM The one that resonated with me was mid 70’s American cars. I consider 1974 the worst year for American cars, complicated unreliable emissions controls and the ugliest bumpers ever. It took a while but have always felt there was gradual improvement from 1975 on. Gary 1966 Corsa Convertible Northern New Jersey ![]() Re: Corvairs are Criminally Undervalued ! Posted by:

() Date: July 28, 2022 08:35AM Thanks Phil but it's a hard pass on the V12. It's nightmare fuel when there are more miles of vacuum line than miles on the odometer. When I decided on the Coupe I wanted something I could turn the key and go drive rather than worrying about whether it would start or be left calling AAA. There's really only one good option in CA for a '76+ and that's the GM EROD. So it's no longer a 4.2L but rather a 6.2L LS3 with a T56 Magnum F 6-speed. Re: Corvairs are Criminally Undervalued !
