I got these from fellow Sidewander Jim Miller.

He is the American Hot Rod Museum Historian.

Chopped L/M is an unknown owner from 1972.

We have seen the stretched wagon before.

It crashed high speed and was destroyed.

Fastback drawing is completely unique.

Printing says: "Got Front Wheel Off"

Question Mr. Phil. In the first picture, they cheat the wind by chopping the top, then run no glass?

Well the one thing I can guarantee is the rules were different back then.

Tom Keo has a rulebook from 1963...it consists of one 8" X 11" page!!

Chopping (8") is still allowed in all three levels of the Modified Classes.

Chopping reduces the frontal area...a major impact on wind resistance.

Windows only required in Production but why lose aerodynamic effect.

That racecar looks unfinished and probably only out for a pre-inspect.

The third photo (drawing) has headlight sockets similar to the PininFarina coupe, but with a lower, extended frunk. The rear looks like the artist was inspired by the Tatra T87, minus the fin. (Wonder if that helped?)
