I think I just bought a Greenbrier, fellas.

Now all I need is to get it here. Anyone have experience with car shipping from Oregon? Or maybe you want to take an expense paid trip to Fargo?

Now, better get my spray cans out. . .

Good for you!
Looks like a standard Greenbrier. Also looks like a good one for restoration. Has had a lot done already, making it another plus. Great deal! thumbs up

From the Inland Empire Craigslist ad:

"Has a clean title on it .they came with 95 hp but hard to find them too.its a automatic power glide tran. no low ball offers don't play thoses games .also has disc brakes power brakes digital dash no engine in it. Can get the 95hp engine at California corvair .have some 102 engine ..$2500 firm going be going to junk yard to be crushed if not sold soon cleanning up property to sell too."

OK, I never understood that. Can't get $2500? then settle for $250 at most? Like $1000 isn't better deal? I just don't get it. They never had a course in economics.

Starting price on that 8-Door in Homeland, CA was $12K.

It's been on Craigslist for what seems like about two years.

Can I be in the club...my current inventory is nine Corvairs.

I was wondering if I could talk Clark's out of a copy of their inventory software.

Thanks everyone for your interest. Eric and I are working out details on the sale.

I am very much appreciate Phil and Tim for the vote of confidence in dealing with me. Corvairs have always been a fun hobby for me, and I've never looked at them as a profit center. Yes, I could probably get more $ but I'd rather have a happy buyer and a clear conscience smiling smiley

Hey everyone. I need to announce that I'm no longer purchasing this car. It's no fault of Marty's, I simply misunderstood what he was selling, and it's a project just too far out of my skill set.

He's been very gracious sending me pictures and talking it out, and finally allowing me to part from the deal with no hard feelings.

Somebody with more tools in their garage than I should jump on this!

Cheers,

I'll make an exception for him since he's a nice guy. He'll need to step up his game soon though.

Been jonesing on this one for a while.

500 with A/C that started at $3,000.

Ad says 1966 but I think it's a 65.

I think you are right Phil. Too many things on the engine say "65". But look at the condition of that center vent! I easily see 400-800 in value.
