FOR SALE 1963 Greenbrier
Posted by: martyscarr ()
Date: July 25, 2022 06:03PM

Selling my 63 Greenbrier
I acquired this FC in 2009 with the intention of restoring it. It was last titled in 1985 and was stored a few years before that and has been stored since I got it. I'm losing my storage and it's got to go.

LOCATION: Eugene, Oregon

THE GOOD:
It runs and drives, has just had new brakes, dual master cylinder conversion, new brake lines, new wheel cylinders and new shoes and hardware installed. Good used drums were utilized.
Rear wheel bearings checked and regreased.
Gas tank removed, cleaned and sealed, new sender installed.
Body has no structural rust that I can see.
Odoometer shows 44,608 which my guess is 144,608 but who knows?
New battery
Tires with are older but with good tread on non-FC steel rims, tire size is 235/60-14
I have a clean Oregon title in my name.

THE BAD:
It has a car engine instead of an FC engine
Someone painted it yellow (originally blue) and did a crappy job
Has non stock bucket seats which show some wear, but they are comfortable
Has some dents and dings
Has a whine in the transaxle, I will supply a core for rebuilding

PRICE: I'd like to get $800, no trades for anything, I don't have any room left or motivation sad smiley

Best way to contact me is via email, martyscarr at gmail dot com

Looks to me like a very fair deal. Hey Phil, you are on the left coast. Time to pack up the truck and trailer?
Now what engine does the van have? Some case numbers I am interested in would be
RR, RZ, etc.

I'll check on the engine tomorrow, pretty sure it's a short stroke,
not what you're looking for

I would jump on this if it wasn't so far away and talk you out of the 8-door too.

Yes, a screaming deal compared to anything on this coast!

I do not need another FC or I would be contacting a shipper. Way cheaper than repairing the rust on FCs around here.

Marty is a straight shooter and what ever he tells you are honest facts.

We all want to see more pictures...interior, engine, and undercarriage.

For the price I am strongly considering making a trip out to Oregon. 800 does not buy much these days and I know Marty is to be trusted on his disclosure. That would also put me in a better position to get 2 FCs.

Hey Al. I think the 8 door in So Cal is some type of scam. I know some folks out there who have tried to buy it and could not make it happen. Let him crush it.
