Early 1963 Rampside 4-speed. It had a silly TV mount and seat in the back but I've already taken all that out.

It has some bizarre exhaust tubes in the front corners of the bed. I'll try to get some pictures later.

That is a nice looking truck. With a GM replacement engine to boot.

Looks like someone ran exhaust stacks behind the cab - like the big semis...

Seen a couple Rampsides over thru the decades like that.

That's probably correct. Lots of butchering to do something stupid.
Interesting thing that is totally unrelated - when I was buying it we had to keep pouring gas in the carburetors to make it run. I figured clean the tank, lines and carburetors. I put gas in the tank on the way home since it is so cheap now and when I went to unload the truck it started right up and I've driven it around the yard quite a bit. Fuel system seems fine.
It does have an aftermarket fuel gauge hanging under the dash but it doesn't work. I don't even know if the aluminum tank has a sender in it.

Is it possible that this Rampside had a camper on it at one time?

Hole in the bed/pipe could have been a sink drain? Although it does look like an exhaust pipe ala Dodge Lil Red Express Truck.

Do you ever part with (flip) any of these treasures you bring home?
Or is it strictly a "See how many I can amass" type of thing?

You don't think I have enough yet do you Wagon? This is my first '63 Rampside and I don't have a Loadside at all yet.

No way I was questioning or ridiculîng your efforts. I was just thinking I could real be into that Rampside if you were to sell it to fund more purchases.

I didn't take it that way.
I hope to be driving this one by the end of the week. The tires I ordered yesterday on eBay show to be arriving today.
