I believe I read the posts with the correct intent, but if I am off base here, I apologize.

You were/are EXTREMELY off base.
It was never meant as anything more than I have already stated.
But even so, apology accepted.

Thank you Scott for your timely response to my purchases. I have always been fascinated by Corvairs and I am certain that you will have a great event this Saturday.
Thank you again,

Scott -

Thanks for trying to clear this up. Looks like something went wrong on my end, and the original transaction never went through!

Oh well...

I heard that it was a city worker that came to the meet to turn of some sprinklers or something & he happened to buy a ticket. The phone call was shared on speaker phone at the dinner. The guy went ballistic with happy. I'm sure others will chime in. I wasn't there but got the info from our club president Dan Mills who was there. ( what a cool story ! )

Raffle car winner is Alex and his wife Melinda...Great Story!!!

He was just on duty doing his job and bought four tickets.

I gave him a CCC card and wrote corvaircenter.com on it.

Look for "rafflewinner" or something like that joining soon.

I am reluctantly forced to admit that that just might be sort of kind of a really cool story and I guess maybe that means that it's better than if I won it.

Alex is a city worker for Palm Springs who showed up Friday morning to let us into the field and he bought 4 tickets to support us. And now he owns a 65 Corsa Coupe 140 4 speed. Nice car by the way. CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. AND MRS. ALEX!
