What mechanical fuel pump mfg is recommended ? US Motor Works or Airtex ?

Reach out to azdave on the forum. He makes an adjustable mechanical fuel pump. There is a thread on it also.

All of the US Motor Works pumps I have seen were missing the locator/retainer hole in the shaft of the fuel pump.
It is like they skipped that step during the manufacturing process for unknown reasons.
Some sellers advertise other brand names but actually ship the US Motor Works pumps instead, so it appears that customers need to be careful who they buy from.

I just installed a recently purchased airtex manufactured pump on a club members car.

The pump came with the longer 60-61 rod but the pump did have the indent for bolt. The rod can easily be ground or cut down if using in 62-69.

No leaks so far or problems so far.

I had installed a Carter manufactured pump on one of my vehicles about two years ago. No problems so far.
