() Date: May 14, 2022 06:45AM Alex, I would like to modify my answer The 1967 lower door hinges are different than 68/9. The upper door hinges are same 67/9. Frank DuVal Fredericksburg, VA Re: Question about 67-68 door hinges Posted by:

() Date: May 14, 2022 06:49AM Actually, I do believe that the '67 upper front door hinges are the same as the '68-9 hinges. It's the lower hinges that are different. All hinges for both 2 and 4 door cars were changed in '67 from the previous designs. I have pictures of them, but are going to have to resize them to post them. See later post. -Mark Re: Question about 67-68 door hinges Posted by:

WHY did they do MANY things different (one year only) on all of the '67s? ![]() If I had to guess, I would venture that it might have had something to do with the higher safety standards that were being implemented in the late sixties? The early LM's had aluminum hinges, that could snap in an accident. The '67s were improved, but then the new standards came out, and the '68-'69s needed something even better ? ? ?
